Technical Project Manager
Lead complex technology transformation initiatives for enterprise clients, driving strategic projects from conception to successful delivery while managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for enterprise-scale technology implementations with budgets ranging from $5M to $50M
- Manage cross-functional teams of 15-30 professionals including developers, architects, analysts, and QA engineers
- Develop comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, and resource allocation strategies aligned with client business objectives
- Facilitate executive-level steering committees and communicate project status, risks, and strategic recommendations to C-suite stakeholders
- Drive adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices within traditional enterprise environments
- Coordinate with multiple vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
- Establish and monitor KPIs, success metrics, and quality gates throughout project lifecycle
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting with emphasis on value realization
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively while maintaining project momentum and stakeholder confidence
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to development of PMO best practices and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of experience managing complex technology projects in enterprise environments
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification required
- Proven track record delivering cloud migration, digital transformation, or ERP implementation projects
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, system integration, and software development lifecycles
- Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibilities
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences
- Experience working with enterprise clients and navigating complex organizational structures
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow, Clarity)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in technology or business field
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) at practitioner level or above
- Experience with AI/ML project implementations
- Change management certification (Prosci, ACMP)
- Industry-specific experience in financial services, healthcare, or telecommunications
- Security clearance or ability to obtain
- Published thought leadership or speaking experience at industry conferences
